The initial part of the Nurse Aide training program is done in the classroom. During the course of the classroom training, students will learn all aspects of patient care through lectures, audio-visuals and practical demonstrations in the lab. This will help prepare students for clinical rotations where direct patient care will take place. The Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP) requires that students complete 60 hours of the program curriculum in-person or online as provided by the State of Texas.
